You all may not like me for saying this, but...
I kind of see similarities between Michael Jackson, before his skin started to change, Omer Bhatti, and Blanket. So, I do kind of think there's a possiblity he's his son. I think we all have to know that Michael Jackson let us know what he wanted us to know about his life. He didn't tell us everything, and he didn't have to. If Omer Bhatti isn't son, he obviously was close enough to the family to be treated as such. Like someone said, he seems good for the kids.

Haha.. with Michael you can never be tooo sure, and as for in the 80s... what we know and what we think we know...but no, it's just a rumour and what could be closer to the truth is that Omer and Michael were close, and Omer called Michael dad because it was like emotional father to him, perhaps. However, Jermaine has said that he's not sure if Omer is his son, saying he saw this kid around him a lot. I thought it was a bit strange Michael's brother wasn't sure if someone was Michael's kid or not.

Yes, IF he was Michael's son, why would that be such a bad thing? IF the extra phone transcripts are real, and in his Bad era he is talking about real relationships and wanting to be with someone, then such a scenario as reported one night stand (could be proper relationship), it's not the worst thing in the world. However I feel that Michael was the type of person who would dream more of climbing every mountain to bring his Cinderella to his hearth (but at the same time that doesn't exclude a possibility of getting something out of one's system even if only once, whereas other musicians have very much taken great advantage of sleeping with groupies at every opportunity.)
